Mummified beachgoers, evicted ships, and the Detroit Pistons

A member of a UK parkour group will likely be banned from the Italian town of Matera after a jump caused damage to an ancient building.

Town officials condemned the individual before giddily announcing that NASCAR will be holding a street race at the same location next year.

Former Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams has been fired after just one year with the Detroit Pistons. The team is still on the hook to pay out $65 million of Williams' remaining salary despite finishing with the worst record in the NBA.

It may seem like a big chunk of change, but think of it this way — Monty Williams aged just as much in one year with the Pistons as someone would if they had access to $65 million-worth of hard drugs all at once.

It's very exciting news, but if you see someone with their head playfully sticking out of the sand, do not get any closer — their buddy Vesuvius might've buried them a long time ago.
