Kris Kristofferson, Sin City pearl clutching, and the White Sox white flag

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield referred to his role on the team in-part as "bringing the joy back to football" after the stressful, high-strung environment created by Tom Brady during his brief time with the team.

Said Brady, "Joy in football? That's nonsense. If I want to let loose, I'll just eat a small handful of seeds two hours before bedtime."

Following the passing of songwriting legend Kris Kristofferson, "A Star Is Born" co-star Barbara Streisand referred to the music icon as "something special."

So special, in fact, that Babs is rumored to have swabbed Kristofferson's mouth in order to attempt cloning him like she did her beloved deceased dog, Samantha — twice.

Politicians on both sides of the political aisle are denouncing Donald Trump's referral to Vice President Kamala Harris as "mentally disabled" at a rally.

The backlash is even stronger among staunch Trump supporters, who are outraged by their overlord giving Harris a compliment.

The Chicago White Sox officially have the most single-season losses in modern MLB history after falling 4-1 to the Detroit Tigers on Friday.

It's not all bad — in fact, the White Sox now lead the entire league in number of tickets one can buy before it adds up to the price of a hot dog.

Two Las Vegas rock stations have removed Green Day from their playlists after Oakland native Bille Joe Armstrong ripped the city as being "the worst shit hole in America."

I can't help but be surprised that the stations were bothered. You can't take pride in a place lovingly referred to as "Sin City" and then be shocked when folks don't talk about it like it's the Garden of Eden.

There's a reason why what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas — it wouldn't be considered up to snuff anywhere else.

Two climate activists from the Just Stop Oil group will receive jail time after pouring soup on Van Gogh's "Sunflowers," causing $13,000 of damage to the prized piece's frame.

Rest assured, I'm sure the pair will be able to make just as much of a difference in saving the planet behind bars as they did in freedom — none at all.
