Joe Gow to replace Jay Rothman as president of Universities of Wisconsin: 'Wisconsin education needs an attentive lover'

Former University of Wisconsin-La Crosse chancellor Joe Gow was fired by the UW Board of Regents yesterday after he was discovered to be making porn with his wife.

It was believed that Gow was terminated due to what President of the Universities of Wisconsin, Jay Rothman, referred to as "abhorrent" actions. However, it now seems that he was simply jealous after the announcement that Joe Gow was unanimously voted out in order to free him up to replace Rothman.

"We want to thank Jay Rothman for his efforts over the last year and a half as Universities of Wisconsin president. Now, the fact is that Wisconsin education needs an attentive lover — something Joe Gow has thoroughly proved himself to be. We're optimistic that if our new president loves education even 10 percent as much as he loves his wife, we'll be in soft, supple, yet strong hands," wrote the UW Board of Regents in a joint statement.

The videos, online under the name "Sexy Happy Couple," notably include a cooking show with Gow and his wife interviewing porn stars. It is hoped that the former UW-La Crosse chancellor will use his platform to pitch Wisconsin campuses alongside the OnlyFans content of his guests.

For his part, Rothman recently considered resigning if the Board of Regents didn't pass a deal that has ultimately frozen hiring diversity, equity, and inclusion positions in return for much-needed funding for the state's universities.

"I'm ashamed that this is what it's all come down to," said Rothman. "Sure, I'm not what the kids call 'pure sex.' Sure, I'm not a generous lover. Heck, I'm not big on loving in the first place — I don't take 'no' for an answer, whether it's in the bedroom or in the boardroom."

Gow, on the other hand, is excited to start his new chapter.

"My wife and I make adult videos for the love of the game — this was absolutely unexpected," began Gow, who was planning to step down as chancellor at the end of the school year. "It's a beautiful thing when your passion and your career are able to join together in a loving embrace. I look forward to making love to Wisconsin universities just like I do with my wife for all to see, if not harder."

Gow is expected to take over on February 19 following a special Valentine's Day special on he and his wife's channel involving Bucky Badger and UW-La Crosse mascot Stryker the Eagle.
