Gallagher brothers on Oasis reunion: 'Looking forward to fresh, exciting new arguments'

There are some events which the vast majority plainly agree will never happen, including the creation of invincibility, humans traveling faster than the speed of light, and people living on the sun. However, this has all gone out the window with the announcement that the seemingly impossible has occurred — the Gallagher brothers have reunited Oasis.

While fans are looking forward to hearing beloved classics including "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova" played together live for the first time since the pair's non-amicable split 15 years ago, Liam and Noel Gallagher are excited to create something fresh. Namely, new things to fight about.

"We've both grown so much since the band broke up all those years ago. Especially the other guy, god willing," began Noel. "Back then, there were lots of fights which I now see as being the usual result of being young and famous. Now, neither of those factors are nearly as relevant."

And now, for the first time in over a decade, the iconic English alternative rock duo is in agreement.

"At this point, there's no interest in debating who punched what or whether or not a hangover is the same as laryngitis," elaborated Liam. "We're both in our 50s now — life is too short to keep arguing over the same old rubbish. Especially as Noel gets closer to 60, it's really import to us that we find something new and exciting to argue about. Keep the geezer entertained."

Despite years of accusations surrounding yes-men and money grabbing, the brothers look forward to launching more modern litigation against one another.

"In this business, the reality is that you need to keep re-inventing yourself to stay relevant. There's no doubt that Oasis could survive just playing the old hits, but it’s because the music still tells a story — the Gallaghers' is simply a drama," said a representative for the band, as the brothers required a break from each other prior to the interview's conclusion.
